"An update to my previous review. After I wrote the last review I contacted customer service and told them what had happened when my order was delivered. Even though it took several phone calls and a few weeks to get a resolution, they gladly refunded the amount I had paid for white glove delivery. I understand that the delivery company did not follow through on their end with the specific set up. How refreshing it is to do business with such a trustworthy and honest company."

"The entertainment center is very pretty and appears to be very well made. There are no problems with the unit itself, but the white glove delivery is a bit misleading. From the reviews I read and the information on the web site, for an additional $199 someone would bring the unit into my home, unpack it, assemble within a one hour time frame, and haul off all the packaging. The bottom unit was already assembled when it came out of the box, but the hutch was in peices. The movers took it out of the box and left it scattered over the floor. when I asked why they were not going to put it together they said the package I bought only allowed for a 15 minute set up and that i should have bought more expensive set package if that was what I wanted. There are only two choices on the web site: drop off at your door free or $199 for inside delivery and assembly. Love the furniture not the set up."

"After looking all over in stores for a new entertainment center for our new wide screen TV and all our other electronic equipment, we decided on this Lane model. It is very beautiful, has a bit of an old world look that fits in with our decor and probably with most except the ultra-modern. It looks just like the picture on the website. It is, however, a substantial piece of furniture, so check your measurements carefully and realize that things look bigger in person. It stores all of our electronic equipment easily, even stereo speakers, and a huge bunch of CD's. The only thing we noted is that the shipment boxes are all labeled "Made in China" which was disconcerting as the website clearly states "Made in North America" with the American flag. We did find a few equipment flaws: holes not completely bored, dowls a little too small. I would also say that unless you are in reasonable physical shape, can lift quite heavy items, and are handy with tools, you should opt for the in-home set-up. We did not, and while we got it done, it was a big job for both of us with tons of packing material to dispose of. I think the extra cost would have been worth it. All in all, we are very pleased with this beautiful piece of furniture. Customer service was great."
